Two-year post-doctoral fellowship, Automne 2011, African diaspora studies
The Africana Studies Program at Lehigh University invites Ph.D.
candidates specializing in African diaspora studies to apply for a
two-year pre-doctoral / post-doctoral fellowship, beginning Fall 2011.
Applications are welcome from candidates whose research concentrates in
any area of the African diaspora and any of the following fields in
African Diaspora Studies: history, religion, gender, sexuality, culture,
identity formation and political life. Successful candidates must be
within one year or less of finishing all requirements for the Ph.D.
They will also demonstrate the ability to design and offer undergraduate
courses in their field of specialization. The fellow will be expected
to contribute to the visibility of the Africana Studies Program,
establish links with the campus community, and share results of his/her
research. The teaching load is one course per year during the first
year as a pre-doctoral fellow and two courses per year during the second
as a post-doctoral fellow.
